Bisexual son of lesbian parents called "gay-basher" by LGBT activist for telling his story that doesn't fit narrative

“The gay couples who got hospital visitation rights under civil unions will have the same hospital visitation rights under marriage. The word ‘marriage’ will be like the seventy pounds I lost in 2007. After being fat for years, I thought I’d be happy if only I were skinny. As it turned out, I had all the same problems, only now I was hungry.”

  • Chick-fil-A: "The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."

Free speech and Chick-fil-A

Some important excerpts below. Click the link above to read full article.

“Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino vowed to block Chick-fil-A’s effort to open an outlet in that city. But the freedom to express unpopular viewpoints must be protected too.”

~

“We disagree heartily with Cathy, but are far more troubled by the reaction of Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, who vowed to block Chick-fil-A’s effort to open an outlet in that city.”

~

“Menino suggested that it would be appropriate to block the chain from opening in Boston because Cathy’s views amount to discrimination. That would rightly apply if Chick-fil-A were to refuse service to gay customers; the city has a right and an obligation to prevent discriminatory actions against its residents and visitors. But there’s no evidence that any such thing has occurred.”

Neither do you know if it’s a father and his daughter, a woman and another’s husband, a teacher and his student, a priest and a boy, or little Jenny with uncle Bob. As long as they love each other that is all that should ever matter…
Right?

Should Homosexuals Be Able to Marry Whom They Love?

Make no mistake about it. Redefining marriage will impact our culture. It won’t be today, next week, or next year. It will be in the long-term because ideas have consequences. When you sever the natural tie of marriage to procreation and no longer require that children be attached to their parents, you’re doing violence to a vital institution. Marriages start families and families produce the next generation. This is how we secure and stabilize society. That’s why you can’t take a sledgehammer to the core of civilization – the family – and expect that no harm will come.

About

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
— 1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV)
